기쁨은행을 만들어 봐요

 

˝은혜는 바위에 새기고

원한은 냇물에 새기라˝는

옛말이 있습니다.

 

또 ˝배우자의 장점은 나팔로 불고

단점은 가슴에 소리 없이 묻으라˝는

말도 있습니다.

 

부부가 살다보면 기쁜 일도 있고

슬픈 일도 있을 텐데...

 

그 와중에서 행복을 느낄 수

있기 위해서는 즐거운 일만을

기억하고 살아야 한다는 뜻입니다.

 

그래서 철학자 몽테뉴는

˝좋은 남편은 귀머거리가 되고

좋은 아내는 장님이 되어야 한다˝고

말하기도 했습니다.

 

배우자의 단점에 대해서는

질끈 눈을 감아 주어야

행복해 질 수 있다는 뜻이겠지요.

 

사람은 어떤 마음을 품느냐에 따라

생활 자세가 달라지기 마련입니다.

 

행복하길 원한다면 좋은 것만

볼 수 있는 눈을 가져야 합니다.

 

˝기쁨은행˝이라는

작은 노트가 있습니다.

그곳에 우리가 매일매일 겪는

고마운 일들과 행복한

기억들을 날짜와 함께 기록해 둡니다.

그 대신 그 노트에는 슬픈일은

전혀 언급하지 않습니다.

가끔씩 힘들 때마다

기쁨은행을 펼쳐보면 그동안...

모아 두었던 행복 밑천들이

그대로 되살아 납니다.

 

그럴 때마다 원래의 기쁨에

이자까지 불어나는 느낌입니다.
